Back to school in our house, means I will print a first-day-of-school page and take way too many photos of the kids with said page while innocent bystanders wait.  It is a tradition my kids will probably hate in a year or two.  And a tradition they will hopefully thank me for one day.

Secretly I am very grateful for the back to school, back to routine, normality and reality – all of it.  Even though this last December school holidays didn’t feel as long as they normally do, getting back to structure is very welcoming!  Perhaps it’s the final tick to the little to-do list of things that needs to happen before the year can officially begin?

P.S.  Some innocent bystanders aren’t bystanders.  They’re so curious, they’ll ruin the picture.  Perhaps that’s way I love this picture so much!  Let’s call it – human nature!
